Wind and Snow Incense Bowl

The image of an empty landscape held in the icy grip of wind and snow is evoked by the surface of this traditional Japanese tea bowl. Crafted of dark stone clay, the low, hand carved, wide-mouthed shape of the bowl makes it a lovely vessel for offering incense.

Each one is unique and slight variations in color and design add to the charm of this piece of art.
