          We Say

          Takazawa Candle has a 130-year heritage of creating traditional Japanese candles inspired by nature in Nanao, Ishikawa Prefecture, where the company is based. Kome-no-Megumi means “the blessing of rice”, and these candles pay tribute to Japan’s staple food. Each individually handcrafted candle is a beige-tan colour and has the distinctive Warosoku shape that is wider at the top. With each candle burning for 30 minutes, they are perfect for use during moments of down-time and relaxation.

          Selector's Notes

          The wick comprises a hollow cord of dried rushes and washi (Japanese paper), which draws up oxygen so that the flame consumes more melted wax and the flames burn bigger and brighter.
