Sitting Buddha - Dharmachakra Mudra

It is symbolic  of the moment Buddha delivered his first sermon in Sarnath to his disciples, giving existence to first Buddhist sangha. It was said that by delivering the Dharma (knowledge) the Buddha thus set the wheel of dharma in motion  - the wheel of knowledge. The teachings includes Buddha's of the four noble truth and the eithfold golden path.
